| History of CCMI Inc. |
CCMI was founded and incorporated in 1991 by a retired veteran named Wells C. Lewis. Wells saw that there was a large demand for fabricated plastics as he owned his own manufacturing representative business called Penfield Plastics prior to starting CCMI.
CCMI began in a garage and has evolved into its exisiting 10,000 square foot building located in Geneva, NY.
CCMI’s major growth happened when Xerox Corporation wanted to make their plastic paper trays on their copy machines look like new. CCMI was able to develop a variety of processes to remanufacture the plastic components of the copy machine. This allowed Xerox to be able to re-use, sell, or release the remanufacturing machines.
In November 2003 Anthony Lewis, the son of Wells C. Lewis, joined the team at CCMI to help grow and develop their core business of fabricating plastic. Today, CCMI serves the Medical (please see our Reedco home page), Food, Automotive, Electronic, OEM, and General Manufacturing industry. We have restructured our equipment and the facility to improve CCMI's service and pricing for all of the current and future customers.
CCMI has had over 25 years of plastic experience, our capabilities extend further than most competitors followed by our creativity and problem solving skills. We have been growing quite steadily over the years and expect to continue expanding.
