About Us

CCMI was founded in June 1991 by Wells C. (Skip) Lewis.  Born out of necessity, the company was created due to the demand for low-volume fabricated and thermoformed plastic products.

For years, Wells was a manufacturer’s sales representative and sold a variety of plastic components and processes.  Requests for 25 machine guards or 100 bushings were constant and commonplace.  Rather than turning away these small requirements, he founded CCMI.

The name CCMI, an acronym, is based on the definition of fabricate:
Cfrom the word “create”,
Cfrom the word “construct”,
Mfrom the word manufacture and
 Ifrom the word “invent”

Today, Wells’ son, Anthony Wells Lewis, is the president of the company.  In his short tenure, he has tripled the company’s revenue, broadened the markets in which they serve and went back to their roots of providing plastic forming and fabrication services with highly technical capabilities in both equipment and personnel. The company currently employs 10.
